There are multiple animals that live in the Interior Plains like the Badger,Canvasback,Jack Rabbit, Bison,Coyote,Grasshopper,Deer,and the Prairie dog. Badgers legs are short and heavily muscled, large feet with long,heavy claws, small head triangular and flattened with prominet snout and ears. The Canvas back is a large duck that lives in North America. The duck is named for the males grayish-white back and sides, which resemble the colour of canvas. The male also has a redish brown head and neck and a black breast. The female is gray and brown. There are four kinds of Jack Rabbits the black-tailed, white-tailed,white-sided and antelope. All of these hares have long hind legs,large eyes,and long,thin ears. They have brownish-gray fur and a pure white belly. The antelope Jack Rabbit is the largest kind. The herbivores of the Interior Plains consist of the Jack Rabbit, Bison and the Deer. The omnivores are the Canvasback,Badger,Grasshopper and the Coyote. Coyotes are sometimes carnivores but mostly omnivores.Prairie dogs are chiefly herbivorous, though they eat some insects.
